Way to go Sarah, Aiden, Eli, and the entire South Vermillion High Marching Band!

We are very proud of Coon Holler Kids, Sarah Davis, Aiden Halterman, & Eli Taylor, for their hard work and talent that helped South Vermillion High School Marching Band bring home a big win from their first invitational of the season in Brownsburg, Ind. Their marching band routine featured music and scenes from Westside Story. Sarah and Eli play percussion and Aiden plays baritone sax, but one portion of the routine features them as a string trio, with Sarah and Eli on violin and Aiden on upright bass. (See video clip below!) Their band was awarded first place overall, best percussion, and best visual. Way to go, kids! Best of luck to you all for continued success in this competition season. We love to see you enjoying music in so many different ways!

Coon Holler Students Aiden Halterman and Halle Newman Attend Bluegrass Camp in Tennessee

Coon Holler students, Aiden Halterman and Halle Newman traveled all the way to Maryville, Tennessee, this summer to attend Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp during the camp's bluegrass week. According to the camp website, Kaufman Kamps are "designed to gather musicians of all levels from around the globe with common goals-learning, playing, eating and sleeping music." Check out the video of Aiden performing on the Kamp stage during open mic night with Steve Kaufman himself and several other talented Kamp participants! We are proud of both Aiden and Halle for dedicating an entire week of their summer to improve their abilities and create some great memories too!
